Kate Pagliasotti, MS, LAc
Kate has been involved in the world of dance, Gyrotonic® and bodywork for 30-plus years. She got a BFA degree in Dance from Cornish College of the Arts, and then moved to New York City, where she performed and choreographed for the next ten years. While dancing, she was exposed to the Gyrotonic Expansion System® in 1994, and immediately fell in love. She became an instructor, working with beloved master teacher Leda Franklin at Studio Riverside for the next 10 years. She also had the good fortune to train with Juliu Horvath directly, both in private sessions and with the teachers at Riverside.
She became interested in acupuncture while dancing and decided to add to her toolbox. She received a master’s degree in Acupuncture in 2002 and built a private practice in New York City. After her son, Milo, was born in 2004, the family relocated to Portland. There, she helped create a wellness practice below Ballard Movement Arts, that includes Chiropractic, Physical Therapy and Myofascial work.
Kate got re-certified to teach the Gyrotonic® method with master trainer Emma Kingston in 2017 and became certified on the Jump-Stretch board in 2018. She is so very excited to bring her perspective as a body worker, dancer and acupuncturist to your Gyrotonic® experience.
